Kwik Fit Insurance - Lollipop Person of the Year Competition - Terms and Conditions applying to all schools

  1. The competition is open to all UK primary schools
  2. No purchase is necessary
  3. Entries become the absolute property of the promoter and will not be returned. Copyright in all entries belongs to the promoter. Only winning entries that are requested will be returned to entrants.
  4. All UK primary schools are divided up into 12 UK regions
    • Scotland
    • North West England
    • North East England
    • Yorkshire and Humberside
    • East Midlands
    • West Midlands
    • East of England
    • South East England
    • South West England
    • London
    • Wales
    • Northern Ireland
    Schools are invited to nominate their lollipop person to be selected as a regional winner. The judging panel will then select from the 12 winning regional entries the overall UK Lollipop Person of the Year.
  5. Entries can be submitted online using the "Vote" section of the website ( www.bestlollipop.co.uk) or by post to the competition address:

  6. Postal entries should be clearly marked with the school name, postal address, email address and telephone number as well as a main contact name within the school that can accommodate any communication from the promoter regarding their entry.
  7. Kwik Fit Insurance may use data submitted to contact schools for participation in an evaluation of the competition. Participation is not mandatory.
  8. All entries to be submitted by 19th November 2010. No further entries will be accepted after this date. Proof of posting is not proof of delivery.
  9. Representatives of the competition will contact each winning school after the closing date to inform them of the result. Each winning school must accommodate a visit from representatives of the promoter to present the prizes to the school at a mutually acceptable date and time. Photographs will be taken to record the event and media invited to report for press coverage. A representative from the school staff must inform photographers of children that would need to be excluded from pictures at the time. By entering the competition, all schools agree to participate in all required publicity.
  10. Each regional winning school will receive £500 prize money with the winning lollipop person awarded £100 and a trophy. Winnings will be posted by recorded delivery to the school after the overall winning UK school is announced.
  11. The overall winning school will receive a further £3000 with the winning lollipop person awarded a further £500 and trophy. Winnings will be posted by recorded delivery to the school after the overall winning UK school is announced.
  12. Prizes are non-transferable and non-negotiable.

  14. The promoter reserves the right to terminate or amend or modify the competition rules. Any changes will be notified on the competition website www.bestlollipop.co.uk
