In the Press Centre area you will find some of the media cuttings from last year's competition to give you an idea of some of the coverage your school could generate in the local press by nominating your lollipop person.

We have also included a press release template in the section for you to complete with all your school's details, which you can then print out and email to your local newspaper, radio station or why not even your local TV news desk?

You will also find a handy section featuring the logos and text that we use in the competition, as you may want to make your own materials or send these also to your local news desks.

There is a handy photo gallery of last year's competition to give you an idea or inspiration of some photos that you may wish to take and send out.

Finally in this section, similar to the press release template, there is a letter template for sending to your local MP. From past experience, many MP's are very enthusiastic about the competition and are very happy to support schools in their constituency both in the press and even visiting the school to back the campaigns. You can use this template to complete all the relevant details for your school and send this to your local MP.
